Behavioural Dysfunction Questionnaire (BDQ)

Description

The BDQ is a 50-item other-report questionnaire comprising five behavioural disorders, which are typical for the behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD). The questionnaire is based on the diagnostic criteria of Rascovsky et al. (2011)1. The 50 items of the questionnaire are distributed across the five behavioural disorders as follows:

  • Behavioural disinhibition (18 items)
  • Apathy (4 items)
  • Loss of empathy (8 items)
  • Perseverative, stereotyped, or compulsive behaviour (16 items)
  • Hyperorality/dietary changes (4 items)
